Duke of Ed - Gold Residential Project

Thanks for considering Eddie Rice Camps for your Gold Residential Project!

All training and camp dates (including a call for volunteer applications) will be communicated via our e-newsletter so please sign up here to stay in the loop. We always recommend that you have another option in case we can not accommodate your availability.

Remember - The Duke of Ed Gold Award requires students to initiate and steer your own Award journey. So, please make sure that you get in touch with us yourselves (we'll make sure your parents/guardians/carers are informed along the way). Also, a requirement of the Residency Project is for students to be with people they haven't met before - so you are unlikely to be placed with people you already know. Don't worry though, you will make friends VERY quickly on camp!

Still interested? We sure hope so. Take a look at the steps below and get in touch with our Programs Officer if you have any questions!

Duke of Ed

what should I do?

1. Sign up to our mailing list so you'll be the first to know about training dates, camps and all our other opportunities.

2. Sign up for and attend our New Leader Training - training dates are announce via our e-newsletter. Training is essential and you need to have attended training to be considered for camp.

3. Apply for a Working With Children Check if you are over 18 years

4. Complete an application form!

For both Duke of Edinburgh  &. University students undertaking their Gold Residential or Uni placements, we request a $450 tax-deductable donation towards camp costs.  The suggested donation does not cover the full cost on camp (less than half) but will assist ERCNSW with some of the costs associated with your training, accommodation, food, resources, activities, administration and review/assessment of your placement/project.

We endeavour to keep cost of camp as low as possible for families and volunteers alike. If you are experiencing financial distress, please contact the State Lead NSW on 0407 008 736 for a confidential conversation.
