update for new volunteers
As many of you may be aware, ERC NSW was unfortunately forced to cancel a number of camps in January due to bush fire threat in Mulgoa, where our camps are held. As a result of this, all DOE volunteers who were scheduled to camp in January, and missed out, have been assigned placements on our April & July Camps. We have received many inquires from new applicants, and therefore we would like to inform you about camp opportunities with ERC NSW in 2020.
March New Leader Training will not be going ahead :(
Your next opportunity to be trained as a new volunteer will be some time in June. We have not yet confirmed the date, so you will need to keep an eye on this mailing list. However, as per usual it will be a Saturday, 9am - 1pm at our office in Balmain.
April Camp is full for DOE volunteers :(
Your next opportunity to attend a camp for your Duke of Ed Residential Program will be some time in July. We will have six placements available over July - as many of our DOE placements have already been assigned to our January DOE applicants! Following July, we may have an opportunity for you in October, however, this is still unconfirmed. We understand this may be disappointing for you so thank you for your understanding and patience. We are doing our best to make more places available so stay tuned :)
New Volunteers who are NOT completing their DOE
As with every program, we reserve placements for general interest volunteers – those who may have been referred by friends or family, are uni placement students or are looking for an awesome volunteering opportunity. You can be trained in June if you haven't already been. Again, you will need to keep an eye on this mailing list to be notified.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact one of our friendly staff members!
