Volunteer with us!
Our volunteers are the backbone of our organisation and we love them for it! Our volunteers from diverse backgrounds with a wide variety of skills, expertise and lived-experience, play a pivotal role in designing and delivering each program. Their dedication, passion and energy or ERCNSW programs yields many positive benefits to camp participants and, in turn, the experience of volunteering provides a variety of opportunities to develop skills, networks, and make a significant contribution towards positive social change. it really is win, win!
Getting involved is simple - check out the steps outlined below and get in touch if you have any more questions. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
Are There Costs for Volunteer Leaders?
As Edmund Rice Community Services is a not-for-profit organisation providing a social and community service, we run our week-long camp programs relying on grants and donations so we can continue to keep costs down for both participants and volunteers alike.
If you are wanting to attend camp for your study placement or for your Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award Residential commitment, please click the relevant 'Learn More' button above for donation requests associated with your placement.
For those who wish to be a volunteer camp leader for their own interest we ask for a 'first time' tax-deductable donation of $125 towards week-long camp costs, including admin, accommodation and catering.
Those who wish to give their time and return to camp as a leader we ask for a small tax-deductible donation of $60 to contribute towards admin expenses.
We know that money can sometimes be tight so please do not hesitate to speak with us if you might need to contribute in small amounts over time or are facing financial distress. We want everyone to feel they have the opportunity to make a difference.
